Nice to see some updates. You definitely have interesting ideas, and I read your thread mainly because--aside from my love of Dark Sun--reading others' ideas inspires me in relation to coming up with my own.
Since you invited questions about your plans, I have a couple of queries:
1) To which extent are you going to remodel and keep the various external threats present in Dark Sun? Most importantly the amassing Kreen empire, the Deadlands (which have superb potential, imo), the return of Rajaat and other lesser ideas inherent in the setting, such as the endearingly enigmatic Psurlons or the seemingly ever-present Githyanki.
2) What about Dregoth? He was my favorite Sorcerer-King in the original, and I always liked his concept a great deal. Are you going to do put him through a similar fate and give him the same sort of "lurker" role?
I like your profile on Meccon; an excellent example of remodeling a character while staying true to the original concept.
