D&D 5E Dealing with a Heavily Armored Paladin?

Put him in situations where he had to take that armor off. Catch him sleeping. Send the PCs to a banquet where weapons and armor are uncouth. Challenge him to a classic duel.

He umm, can't. It's kinda cursed. (He hasn't choosen to dispel the curse yet because I tied +1 of the +2 into it. Lose the curse, lose the +1.)

Still might be fun to stick him in those situations though :D

One of my favorite PFS adventures was The Blackros Wedding. I had my sword (peace bonded), but no armor. My paladins ran through thee OAs to get to the bride to protect her. Because LG, baby!

Use some of the Fire Cult Priests from PotA, if you have that book. I used four of them at once against my party, when they were around 7th level; a first turn opener of four fireballs will put pressure on the heavy armour users no problem, even if they pass all the saves! It should also avert the fairly tedious 'everyone clusters around the Paladin and thus is immune to all the fun spells in the game' element on the Paladin class.

To be fair, in terms of the narrative then it wouldn't be much of a curse if it didn't cause him trouble on occasion.

IMXP, bunches of PC's are prime bait for fireballs and dragonbreath.

Anything that grants advantage on attacks for the enemy is nice, too. Blindness, sure. Faerie fire. But more reliable is an invisible NPC.
