Valicor said:can you say attack trip the person with your full round action, then with your hasted action perfom the coupe da grace, when you have the death blow feat, since they are denied there dex?

Unless, of course, "Death Blow" changes that, too.

No. The Death Blow is a standard action by itself.

Ok, a Standard Action = an action (or activity) + a Move
Death Blow = a Standard Action CDG
If what you are saying is true, that Death Blow is a standard action by itself, then that means you do not get an action (or activity) OR a Move BUT you do get to CDG. So what is the difference between Death Blow and a regular CDG? Neither one will allow you to move or take any other action except the CDG. So there is really no benefit.
You can no longer "move" to someone and CDG them with Death Blow because the Move is part of a Standard Action. But since Death Blow is a Standard Action "by itself" then that means you can't do anything else BUT Death Blow.

What you are describing is a Partial Action, not a Standard Action. (Partial = Move or action, Standard = Move and action.)

What I am describing is a Death Blow as a Standard Action as per the description you gave me.
You said "a Death Blow is a standard action by itself".
So in other words...
Standard Action = an action (aractivity) + a Move (or move-equiv yada yada yada).
I think I understand that part.
What you said comes out as so:
Death Blow = Standard Action
IF you are suggesting that a you can still get a Move with a Death Blow then what you should have said was "a Death Blow is a Standard Action by itself WHICH ALLOWS A MOVE". And if that is the case, well then that is a new type of action that I am aware of. That would come out to be this:
Death Blow = Standard Action + a Move
Or do you mean to say that Death Blow takes the place of the "action" part of a Standard Action? Because this is clearly not the description in Sword and Fist.

Well, unfortunately that doesn't really contribute to your arguement nor does it help me to better understand what you are trying to say.
