Decent Wednesday night programming?

The shows I am currently watching are Surface, Las Vegas, My Name Is Earl & Smallville. What is on Wedneday nights that might be up my alley?

Alley? For those 4 shows? Theyre not in even in the same neighborhood, nevermind alley.
they might not even be in the same country.

Everyone around these parts watches Lost and Veronics Mars. Of course, after some time with VM, you may never watch Smallville again.
you can also try Invasion if you want to get into something from the beginning.

There's usually some halfway decent sporting event on ...

(If I had any kind of hometown spirit, I'd be watching the Padres right now, as they're up by 5 with two innings to go, and a win seals their division title...)

Discovery channel: Top Gear- this is all about fast or cool or odd cars. and sometimes the cool things brits choose to do with them to make the audience go wow!! You must be nuts.

Over There on FX. Aside from being simply a great show it takes a very even hand with a touchy subject; it steers away from politics in favor of the imediate and personal stories of the characters.

Actually I like almost all of FX's original dramas. Rescue Me just finished its season and the stelar The Shield starts up again in January. Nip/Tuck also just started its new season but I'm not a fan of that one.

Later.

Okay, I have shows for Mondays, Tuesdays and as of Tomorrow, Thursdays. The shows I am currently watching are Surface, Las Vegas, My Name Is Earl & Smallville. What is on Wedneday nights that might be up my alley?
I'll second Veronica Mars. Flat-out good show. Strong characters, writing and overall presentation.

I, too, am entertained by the literal train wreck that is this show. It's so bad that I can't tear my eyes away. The Donald is still better.

Please expound on the details. I've no interest in watching, but I gotta hear what makes it a train wreck.
