I, on the other hand, see the artwork from a deck of many things as unlimited in scope and potential. The major limiting factor being where and when the deck was made. Oriental art. Why not? Cave drawings. Even this is possible. Magical 3-d images that leap off the medium and come to life to make their effects happen? Great idea!
amaril: Not to sound rude, but: you should have entered this contest with your vision of what a deck should look like; not say the people who did enter didn't fulfill your vision of what it should be. The vote here is to determine which of the one's who did enter is most liked. If you like none of them, so be it; but that does not make their entries invalid. Personally, I found something I liked in each and every deck and would not hesitate to use any of them in game. You are free to stick with your tarot deck if you wish.
