They are just about to hit L3, and are completing an extension of their first mission (find out why those Gobllins have started raiding us) in a Castle filled with orcs, ogres and cross-breeds. After that, they get sent to Chendl, where they will find military indifference, human cultists of Orcus in the sewers and the need to be nice to the Thieves' Guild if they want to escape with their lives.
After that I'm planning: a raid on a village captured by Cultists; negotiating a truce with one of Iuz’s captains in Crockport in an attempt to gain an advantage against the Demon’s forces; breaching the goblin-infested sections of the Vesve forest to steal a minor artefact from under the noses of both Orcus’ and Iuzian clerics; before confronting the High Priest in his Temple and breaking his hold on the populace.
Cool. I'm actually running two campaigns in the same setting and timeline (interacting with the same NPC's and hearing about each other, with one Player in common).
It's set in Bissel, and in my version, Bissel was invaded by Ket but never feel. My Greyhawk Wars are a homebrew variant (Iuz never took Chendl in my version, but the fighting in the Vesve, along the Veng, and in the Shield Lands, Horned Society, and Bandit Kingdoms match the 3e version of Greyhawk).
The first campaign, over email, is about CL5 (3.5e for both). Their history:
-- Return to the Keep on the Borderlands (TSR) -- attack the Caves of Chaos and in my version defend the Keep against a massive assault by undead and bandits (set on a road between Bissel and Highfolk)
-- Dzeebagd (Troll Lords) -- take back a small castle overrun by bandits and orcs, rescue merchant captives (set on Irafa Road, between Thornward and Ket in the Bramblewood)
-- Cauldron of Plenty (Dungeon) -- get a magic cauldron from a giant, without violence (set in the foothills of the Barrier Peaks)
-- The Standing Stones (WOTC) -- investigate a village that supplies the dwarves of the Barrier Peaks and hasn't been heard from (set in the Dim Forest)
-- Buckbray Tower -- investigate a baronetcy that won't send troops to the front, because of a silly little problem with wolves and orcs attacking people (set on the Fals River)
-- The Last Baron (Paizo) -- deal with a baronet who is rumored to be planning to rebel (set near the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, at the extreme north of Bissel)
Second part (CL3-4, playing live)
-- Three Days to Kill -- Deal with bandits south of Thornward. Turns out you were hired by other bandits!
-- Sunless Citadel (WOTC) -- My Oakhurst is the top of the Fals River, where the road to Falwur breaks off.
-- Scourge of the Howling Horde (WOTC) -- My Barrow's Edge is between the Sunless Citadel and Falwur.
