When it's off the ground enough that we are ready to bring in the extra characters. That is a structural and not temporal goal to reach. If we are wildly successful at starting up, it will be sooner.

Probably once we get a good 2-3 adventures off at least. Right now, we have one accepted adventure, and 4 (will be 5 later) characters.

My guess is probably sometime after we get our own forum.

Keep in mind, it will still be 1 1st, 1 2nd, and 1 3rd.

FYI, for adventure proposals, please try to give us the following information (Stolen from LEW). No one needs to resubmit anything already submitted, but this makes it easier for us.

1) Who are the players: This can be a specific list or this can be a description of what kinds of characters are likely to fall in line with this adventure.
2) What is the background: Describe the setting, the people, and the motives that make this adventure.
3) What is the story: What is the story of the adventure itself? Who are the bad guys? What are they doing? How is victory achieved or defeat met?
4) What is the challenge: Specifically, what are the likely challenges the group will face? What levels of characters are expected for this adventure? What are the encounter levels of any combat that will be encountered? Will challenges be overcome through combat, stealth, skill, or diplomacy?
5) What are the rewards: What kinds of rewards are there to be found? Fame, money, magic, and experience should all be expressed here. Anything that can be a reward is important for the judges to see.

A simple example adventure proposal:
1) Any Evil or willing Neutral player, though at least one Rogue and someone who can Dispel Magic will be required. No one assosiated with the Deneith House.
2) The head of the Deneith house is in Sharn to talk to Nobles of Breland.
3) The house Jurasco wants the head of the Deneith house assasinated before he can speak to the nobles.
4) Locate the Head, sneak in to access him, and kill him as quietly as possable. Recover his signet ring, which will be warded.
5) In addition to any loot they can help themselves too around the Head, they will be offered 500,000 GP to split.

Now, I'm not sure we'd approve that for story reasons, but otherwise that's a generaly acceptable proposal. You're welcome to give more or less detail, that was just an example.

Please e-mail all 3 judges and put LEB Adventure Proposal in the title. Remove the % from the e-mail.
Bront - %bront20% @ %gmail.com%
Knight Otu - %olifran% @ %gmx.de%
Rystil Arden - %rystilarden% @ %gmail.com%

This will be placed in a better place once we get the forum up.

Also of note, the Tavern's fluff has been changed slightly. It's still a good place for employers to look, but it's no longer listed with the specific purpose of employment.

One last comment.

Minor changes, like equipment, you don't need to run by me for approval. (Heck, I just adjusted 2 items because I realized I forgot them myself). Particularly before your on your first adventure. If you're on an adventure, obviously talk to the GM as far as buying/selling equipment.

Mostly, the approval process is done when you level up.

Also, a reminder to all potential GMs. Like in LEW, we are going to be using a time XP bonus, so you will earn 50 XP per ECL (Max 8) per RL month in the game, to be awarded by the GM whenver he feels appropriate (Usually when game XP is awarded for other stuff as well, though good break points can work as good spots for this XP as well.) However, you do need to be active in the game to recieve this award, or at least given a warning to why you were MIA for a time. Final call is up to the GM and Judge.

Also, Adventures will have a judge that will follow along. They are there to help the GM if there are rules questions, continuity questions, help with running something (if they agree), and generaly just a resource for the GM. It also allows for a judge to pick up an adventure if it fails due to an MIA GM, so the PCs are not stuck in limbo.

Anyone approved who has not played the adventure in the back of the book should head over to the tavern thread ASAP, as there's an adventure starting there. I believe we have 4 definate for it, and 1 maybe, so room for 1-2 more if Erekose was looking for 6.

If not, there's another adventure waiting after that. So roll out those characters, we're off to a quick start :)

We have five people in the tavern--one of them has run the adventure before and one is evil and xenophobic so probably doesn't want to follow the random Neutral Good shifter girl to go help someone. So we have three if the artificer comes along and five if they all somehow come. Fortunately, with the new adventure already sent out for proposal, the wait should be basically zero for anyone who doesn't come on this one :)
