Does that mean the age bonus/penalty do not apply in LEW? I ask because what happen if a character age (I've been adding one year every RL year to Rinaldo, but he has also been affected by time flux that have grown him younger, but it could have grown him older.). Mainly out of curiosity.

They would apply in LEB, but the consensus seems to be you cannot create a character w/ them. Can't speak for LEW.

I will agree with those hat say you cannot create characters with them. We are trying to minimize min-maxing here .

I would suggest that if the aging is for flavor reasons we assume that the aging process has already ocurred before we begin to apply the point-buy.

Oops, thought I was in teh discussion of LEW... anyway, the same question is interesting to know in both Living World.

I would probably apply it if it actually happens organically, although if I do agree to that, then that means I won't agree to someone making a character one year under the next age category and then quickly raising it. Rinaldo may not have to worry as soon thanks to the Crux though.

Not a big fan of allowing 'em. They really help out wizards and whatnot, and I don't like how that plays out. I'd say no, unless there were some way we could balance it out.

That being said, I think if you want to play an "older" character, why not just make him old, without ever actually saying his age? Make him 20 years old mechanically, but play him out as in his 50s? I really don't see too much of a problem with that.

I whole heartedly agree, that is essential what i said or well tried to say :)

Oh yes also, I would like to volunteer to help out around here if that's ok. I knowwith erekose13 stepping down there will be a void and I do not know if you would want me to fill it(being as I've only been here since about march/april) but at very least I would be interested in helping judge adventures or whatever you guys need done(character judging to lighten the load on stonegod etc.)

Well, it could be a moot point for the short term at least, because I just found out about E6 and now I'm hooked on contributing to that. Unfortunately, it's eating up the rest of my free time, so I'll pull out of this for now.
