You would have preferred Jesus took days to die instead of hours? Longinus (it is widely accepted) did him a favor. IIRC he converted to Christianity not long afterwards. I certainly know that the Vatican has a statue of him inside, because I've seen it.

That strikes me as odd, since in the Bible it actually says Jesus gave up his spirit before he's run through with a spear, doesn't it?
