I stab you once and then laugh as necrotizing fasciitis takes hold and your body wastes away to nothing in a matter of hours! Mwa haa ha ha ha ha!Fallen Seraph said:Well... Actually some poisons could quicken the deterioration of muscle and bone, which could work on undead.
Dausuul said:I know they're trying to reduce blanket immunities in 4E, but I'll be really amazed if undead are not still immune to poison and disease. (Chemicals that inflict structural damage rather than disrupting biological processes are better classed under "acid" IMO. Even if they aren't actually acid.)
Charisma = Soul/Spirit to some folks. Thus thats the only thing keeping the undead going.Fallen Seraph said:May I ask why Charisma? I can't see how force of character (through various means) would mean the same as Con.

Ranger REG said:So, does that mean I can poison or sicken an undead, even though said non-magical poison or virus would just be attacking dead tissues and/or organs of an undead?
Yeah, I know, but think about it; unless every dungeon is antiseptic, no character should get past first level because they should all get, if not the dreaded galloping gangrene, then at least the more prosaic, but still quite unfortunate, gangrene. And so should any monster that survives their wrath.hong said:That's a disease, not a poison
Yeah, I figure they'll have special immunities since they're nothing but dead rotting organic flesh and bone.Li Shenron said:I hope not... that means an undead is really not much different from a living creature :\
Undead got to have something special, and rules should impose some difference, not just different fluff. So do Elementals, Golems, Dragons and maybe some others more. Otherwise it's only a matter of make-up.
