Did anyone NOT read the very end of The Dark Tower? [no spoilers please]

The last bit i read to was with Eddie and Roland after visiting someone.

Last bit I paid attention to was Jake and Callahan at a dinner party.

I might go back to the book, but the series lost a lot of potential to me when they took the ride over the wastelands rather than journey through it. i didn't realize it at the time, and it took me years to understand why i did not care for wizard and glass.

Steve-o is showing his age and the series really wasn't what i thought it was going to be.

I read it. If the author is going to write it down, then I am going to read it, despite any warnings he or she may give.

And, yes, I was disappointed with the last two books in the series. His treatment of the major villains was a major let down.

I finished it. I wouldn't say I was disappointed with the ending, only that it wasn't what I was hoping it would be. In a word: unsatisfying.

My disappointment is with his handling of the three main villains. I will refrain from spoilers, but being that you read up to the very last pages, you should know what I mean (rather you agree or not is another matter). Otherwise I was very pleased and couldn't put it down.

I stopped at the end of Waste Lands, simply because by the time the fourth book was released, I really didn't care about the story any more. Too much real time had passed and I wasn't willing to go back and reread the first three books to catch up.

Wonder if I'll have the same reaction when/if the next Song of Fire and Ice book comes out...?

I have so far stopped at the end of the Wolves of Calla. I am waiting for the last two books to come out in the cheapy paperbacks. Mind you the "Reviews" above are not comforting. Sigh...
