Yes, someone who was a friend or family member to the murder victim can find it, and probably won't find it funny.

Here's where the OP erred:

Put yourself in their shoes. If the murder victim were a member of your family or one of your friends, you'd probably not find this the least bit humorous.

As others have noted, if you want this thread to fade into obscurity, don't keep posting to it: the fact of continual updates is one of the things that makes it trend upward on Google.

And, yes, I'm aware of the irony that my saying the above does constitute more of the same posting activity that makes this thread trend upward; so, in posting this, I'm not following my own advice about not posting.
Am I trying to kill my own thread by suggesting that others not post to this thread--and am I thereby failing, because my making that suggestion auto-tragically keeps it active? (Hey! Don't answer that! What are you doing?)
