Making things? No, mate, they've been finished for quite some time, but a true artist knows that he should not overfeed the masses :D In other words, I'll post them as I see fit, and in order to maximize the ammount of feedback I get (Law, take note, your spell thread over on NKL is way to much info to get through in one sitting, I suggest you only post one or two spells at a time next time, and wait until you get comment's before continuing, hey, it works for me :D)

Anyways, on to the dire crocodile, and yes, it is supposed to have DR... :D

These massive beasts, sometimes called emperor crocodiles are among the largest of all reptiles.
A dire crocodile resembles it’s lesser kin, but can easily reach a length of 30’ or more. Their thick skin is usually a dark green with patches of brown and black.
They can usually be found in large marshes, deep rivers, or tropical oceans.
A Dire Crocodile can be summoned by Summon Natures Ally VII,

Combat:
Dire crocodiles fight like their lesser kin.
Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, a dire crocodile must hit an opponent with it’s bite attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of oppertunity. If it wins the grapple check, the dire crocodile establishes a hold on the opponent with it’s mouth and drags it into deep water, attempting to pin it to the bottom.
Hold Breath (Ex): A dire crocodile can hold its breath for a number of rounds equal to 4 x it Constitution score before it risks drowning.
Skills: A dire crocodile has a +8 racial bonus on any swim check to perform some special action or avoid a hazard, it can always choose to take 10 on a swim check, even if distracted or endangered. It can use the run action while swimming, provided it swims in a straight line.
* A dire crocodile gets a +4 racial bonus on Hide checks when in the water. Further, a dire crocodile can lie in the water with only it’s eyes and nostrils showing, gaining a +10 cover bonus on Hide checks.

Dire Hyenas resemble heavily built hyenas the size of a warhorse. They have browngreeen ragged fur with darker spots and stripes, and their eyes are yellowish green.
Dire Hyenas can be summoned by Summon Natures Ally V.

Combat:
Dire Hyenas are much more agressive than their lesser kin, and attack without fear or quater.
Gibber (Ex): Useable once per round as a standard action. All within earshot (60’) of a dire hyena must make a will save (DC: 12) or recieve a -2 morale penalty on attacks and damage for 1d4 rounds. Creatures that make the save are immune to that dire hyenas gibber for one day. Gnolls, hyenas, and other dire hyenas are immune to this attack. The DC is Charisma based.
Trip (Ex): A dire hyena that hits with it’s bite attack can attempt to trip the opponent (+10 check modifier) as a free action without making a touch attack or provoking an attack of oppertunity. If the attempt fails, the opponent can not react to trip the dire hyena.
Fearless (Ex): A dire hyena is immune to fear effects.
Skills: * Dire hyenas have a +4 racial bonus to hide checks in areas of tall grass or heavy undergrowth.

Comments are appreciated for both this and the croc. Oh, and by the way, I'll post the Dire Manta some time next week, IF I get some feedback on these two critters. :D

Sorry, Krish. I know what it feels like to be "neglected", commentary-wise. But I really, really like the dire crocodiles. I'll probably even use them in the near future (think sewers, albinos, and urban legends).

I like the gibber ability that the dire hyenas have. Maybe an augmented critical for their bites (bonecrushing jaws and all that) would be appropriate, but other than that I have no complaint.

Keep up the good work.
Demiurge out.

Krishnath; I wouldn't hesitate to use your dire croc or dire hyena, although up to now I've been using the giant (salt water) croc as a dire crocodile. I did a dire hyena a while back, but I think I actually like yours better since the gibber effect is simpler and the immunity to fear effects seems fitting as well. I sort of agree with Demiurge about the bone-crushing bite but then again you did give it Power Attack so maybe that covers it. Good stuff.

I think A swallow whole ability for the dire croc, and I don't know much about hyenas but I think the immune to fear is too much, I'd give a moral bonus or something not as absolute.

Ferret: for the fear immunity, I thought about just giving it a morale bonus against fear effects, but then I thought, why should paladins have all the fun :D

Demiurge and Zaster: As for the bone crushing jaws idea, I think that Power Attack and Cleave pretty much covers it, and besides, when you advance it, just give it Improved Critical (bite) as it's next feat ;)

Zaster: Considered adding swallow whole to the croc when I created it, descided against it. Gave it DR instead :D

Dire Manta is coming soon ;)

The only reason I can think you gave them Fear Immunity is becasue they are crazy and large. So are a lot of animals, but if you put one up against a Prismatic dragon and it roars 2 foot away from is face it might just run.

Now what about a swallow whole ability for the Dire crocodile? All it uses it's teath for IRL is to grip the prey as it drowns it, the swallows what it can.
