Do I need to take a feat to craft masterwork items?

No, that requirement was removed. In general, you should not use the Heap thread for reference, it is no longer being updated. Rather, use the stickied Rules and Mechanics thread thread, or the Wiki. Both should be up to date in that regard*, not to mention that they are readily available unlike the heap thread.

*I noticed that there is a reference to the Craft Masterwork Feat, even though I thought I removed them all. Perhaps it was 'restored' due to the crash.

Thanks for the clarification, KO. After finding the current thread I linked above, I thought that was the case. BTW, shouldn't your sig say you 'Also posts as Ashardalon' instead of 'Als posts as Ashardalon'? Wasn't sure if it was a typo or some kind of shorthand, so I thought I'd point it out and see.

It's a typo I've been too lazy to fix (seemed to be still clear in light with my sig as Ashardalon), but since it seems to cause a bit of confusion, I'll go and fix it.

On a seperate note (and now that the other issue is cleared up), after my character Phoenix finishes crafting her MW Chain Shirt and Hvy St. Shield she will arrive back in Orrussus (for a bit at least) and be interested in getting them enchanted magically. Does anyone's character that is still in town have the ability to do this? (My guess is that yes, some characters can and they actually have shops too. But since most of them are out of town on adventures I'll probably just have to pay the standard rate of 1,000 gp each for the enchantments instead of helping out with some of my own craft points and maybe getting a discount.) Just thought I'd mention it here in case there was someone that I've missed that might be interested in earning a bit of cash.

Just curious... why two avatars? Does it help with some mechanical issue related to being a moderator or something?

Yup Tenebrynn can and would be willing to craft magic arms and armor once back in Orussus. Technically he works out of his tower in Medibaria but hey time is immaterial outside adventures.

Re: KO's avatars. I believe he uses the seperate functionality for thread subscriptions. If he just wants to check up on 4E news he can come in as Ashardalon and not loose all his new post notifications that he doesn't have time to look over as KO. I've thought of doing the same thing myself really, but pulling back on commitments has meant that I can keep up for the most part on my subscriptions.

Originally, I created the Ashardalon account because I had problems activating this account and to post regarding that issue. After that, I used it mostly for fun, and now I'm using it when I don't want to lose my subscriptions from logging out, specifically if I want to post some quick things when I think I don't have the time for my Play-by-Post stuff.

Okay, but if for some reason Tenebrynn isn't back from his adventure before Phoenix leaves again for her next adventure then I'd have to go ahead and pay the full price (and then scramble to get her approved again before dissapearing for the adventure)?

I don't believe that regular purchases of items from NPCs at full price require reapproval. You can post in the start of a new adventure what stuff you purchase just before the begining. I've definitely done so with some of my characters.
