Did we just have a failure to communicate? I'm standing right next to you and Thurgan, you introduce him to me, he mentions he needs money and tools and a reference for a job, he asks whether 'this bard' knows a patron, referring to whether I know someone, then you offer to be a reference and say you don't know whether I know someone, but you'll ask me about it when you can, then he says "Contact me if the bard (meaning me) comes through," and leaves, all while I'm standing right there.

Also - to any Judges/GMs, I have two questions: would it be acceptable for me to work towards Dragon Disciple over the next five levels or so? And if my name-dropping ever becomes excessive, could you let me know at what point I should either a) stop pulling stuff out of my hat or b) write some background material for the campaign. If the latter, how much and where should I send it to?

Don't look at me... I thought I was still at the bar, and people are finding chairs next to me. Though that's possible, it is somewhat odd... though if that is the case, the chairs are probably along the bar, and then it would be possible for Troi and Thurgan to have a private conversation, if it was a quick one (which that one was, relatively).

I'm confused, too. ATM, the game is going fast and loose. Just go with the flow... you'll also notice that I was (am?) having three conversations at once, at one point. When it goes like that, you just gotta go with how everybody else is moving.

Dragon Disciple is a Core PrC, so I see no problem with it at all (as outlined by CS, Core should be fine).

I am a big fan of creative detailing, though you may want to give us a head's up on it at first. Write-ups are great, and will most likely be more free form at first, although later it may get a bit sticky, with folks having to take a look at the World Map before placing their 'Temple of the Swamp Lich' 50 miles south of 'The City <Name to be inserted later>and then realizing that someone has already established that there is Desert there, for example.

Again, my email for these games is yellowboy333@hotmail.com

I will be unavailable tomorrow (It's 1 am my tie now) until 8PM or so PST. I will then be available for gaming in the evening till the wee hours of the morning, most likely.

This game's defenitely gonna need it's own forum.

Who exactly are the Judges right now? CS, Garyh, Uriel?

How is XP handled? Since there'll be at least one Judge overviewing each game, it makes sense to me to let the Judge handle out the XP after the adventure (or at points during the adventure if it tends to take long) so XP handout is limited to a few people and thus better controlled/compared.

Also, it seems like a fight will start in the inn sooner or later. Perhaps to get this stuff kinda organized, there could be a sidedoor leading to an alley, whereas the barkeep requires everyone wanting to pick a fight to take it outside. The Alley could be a different thread to keep traffic away from the Tavern thread.

Of course someone needs to monitor the Alley and oversee the fights (including rolling all the dices). If the judges think this is a good idea, I'll volunteer for it.

Hey just a small little bit of late night inspiration that may help things stay more organized. Since we will all need to put a link to our characters in our signitures maybe we could also put the current context the character is in. Like for now I put the tag that I am playing Tiggle at the Red Dragon Inn. This way people can know where certain characters are or whose running what game or what have you. Just an idea, wow this thing is chaoticly fun so far.

I agree. That format for the sig entry should make things easier for everyone.

Heh. And my char was the third to be posted...

Coincidence?

I didn't think so either...

And I have 2nd post and 2nd character, same average here... but damn, I left the threads only for the night and ... Posting too fast on that threads, my character seems to have sleep in the middle of the Inn :)

Well, I'll be away for the day, but I had to look in before going (I'll be back tonight, posting away) to see what had transpired.
I was hit with the Irony that for employment, I work in a Nightclub
(Floor manager, Bar-Back and sometimes Bartender) and for leisure I now am a Judge/DM in a setting that (so far) takes place in a Bar....Er...I need help.

Se you all when I get home from being terrified riding roller-coasters all day. Oh, the things you do for insistant 6-year olds, as my friend Gabe's son just can't possibly ride them unless I'm there (Ugh).

Oh, On-topic:
Just so folks who are 'stopping in' to play in the Tavern know.,I think that Judges/DMs should perhaps post 'Judge Available/here' or some such in their tag-line post when they begin looking at a thread for their online session (that sounded odd, like therapy). I will at least, as I frequently log on and just loo about the site for 8 hours or so as I watch TV or play guitar (I really should spend more of this time chasing girls...).

Isn't a Judge a person who takes a global overview of the game and cares about the core, while a DM handles specific quests?

One other thing, I think a Judge needs to be appointed to check out the character sheets as they're being created and take note of any errors, warning the player about the errors.
