An issue that just came to mind while I was having lunch: What about evil PCs? If this is truly an open, living campaign i would think we might allow Evil aligned PCs, but this could cause problems. I don't really have an opinion either way, I just think it is an important issue to resolve before we get too much further.

Yeah, it could be seen like that, mostly in the cultures of Enworld who thinks the next step after life is reincarnation. But for others, death may be going in an other world (heaven, Vahalla, Hells...) and in this case, this God wouldn't be seen as a God of life, because he don't create or act on life, that would be seen to be the domain of another God (exemple: Verdante). Personnaly, I prefer to see it as simply a God of death.

But the question on what happen to death characters in Living Enworld is a good one...

Evil characters should be possible. Evil characters usually have their own schedules, but just like good characters, or perhaps even more, they need money. When on a mission, they are very well aware that keeping their companions alive increases their own chances on bringing the quest to a success.

Also, don't see evil characters as people who just randomly attack anyone in sight. There's no real use for such characters.

I've always wondered how they could survive long...

Hm. I was actually considering making Velbrik NE or LE before I figured that might be taking too much freedom with the undefined rules, so I just stuck him with N and decided it work it out in-game.

An evil person is someone who puts their own goals ahead of others' goals. A good person is someone who puts others' goals ahead of their own goals. It's as simple as that, but an evil person is never entirely evil, and a good person is never entirely good - an 'evil' person might well be a fair and just king; he just considers himself the most important person in the land (which he might just be), and therefore puts his desires first, but still staying away from corruption and such because he knows it will hurt his reputation and his people's willingness to give him authority.

OK, thanks WizWrm and Thels

got it. I got the #post1080900 from the "edit" button, but where did you pull up the postid=1079112 part? Was it from the first post?

Oops. I took my link and changed the second postid to your post. My link linked to my post, but since it was part of a thread, it just linked to the thread, which was my first attempt to get it to work, and that failed, so I added #post1079112 to that, which flipped down to my character. Since I used my link as a template, what it's really doing is linking to my post, but going to the thread rather than the individual post, then flipping down to yours.

It still works.

Hey just a small little bit of late night inspiration that may help things stay more organized. Since we will all need to put a link to our characters in our signitures maybe we could also put the current context the character is in. Like for now I put the tag that I am playing Tiggle at the Red Dragon Inn. This way people can know where certain characters are or whose running what game or what have you. Just an idea, wow this thing is chaoticly fun so far.

Great idea Casar! Consider this an official Judge recommendation!
