Question for you, cs...

What if someone wants to leave the tavern? Say, for instance, that a job offer comes in, and Troi wants to go get Thurgan before he heads out.

Does that become a seperate thread? Do I post a thread called [Living Enworld] Troi in search of Thurgan? Or how would that work? If it does become a new thread, is there a Judge assigned to it? A DM? I realize that my example wouldn't necessarily have combat in it... but this is important for threads in which combat is possible.

OK, in this circumstance I'm thinking it wisest to limit the number of extra threads. Just use a specific header for all your posts unless your going to a location that already has a thread. If your doing something that is more important than that, get a DM and have the DM start the thread, but email the judges so they know what your doing.

Excessive threads that have <30 posts I'm against.

Troi organized a party of Troi, Zoe, Felix, Thungar, Grak, Velbrik and Telerin

Yikes! No mage or sorcerer, how did we manage to do that?! :D

Oh well, i was planning on multiclassing into one anyway. Thanks for all the ahrd work everyone is doing, i'll get working on that merchant God i promised.

Well, we have Velbrik, who's a bard, and Telerin, who's a druid, and Felix, who's a cleric... so I think we're good in the magic department. We don't necessarily need a mage when we've got a half-caster and a pair of divine spellcasters.

We also make up for the lack of a wizard or sorcerer with the fact that we've got three fighter types, being Troi, Zoe, and Grak... and we've got a rogue, that being Thungar, so we're good there, too.

That is, assuming all those people join up together. Things could change around a little if/when a job show's up. :)

If you call 2 0-level spells per day a 'half-caster.' :p But at low-levels, fighters are dishing out just as much damage as casters, since wizards and sorcerers only get a couple magic missiles before they start pulling out the crossbows and spears.

Personally, I think that 7 is way too many, and we should really be splitting into groups of around 4, but since there's a very very limited supply of adventures right now, I'll just have to go with what we have.

A custom feat must be ok'd at least 1 full level before you can gain the feat. It must be Ok'd by the judges council, and the player must meet any pre-reqs (including quest challenges) to get the feat, set by the judges or the DM dealing with that characters development.

In that case (since I'd like to have the feat as early as possible), here, for your look-over, is...

Delmontes Technique: Piercing Whip [General]
You are so skilled in using a whip, that you can find chinks in almost any armor and strike there with enough force to deal damage.
Prerequisites: Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Whip), Weapon Finesse.
Benefit: When using a whip, you can deal damage to opponents regardless of their armor or natural armor.
Normal: Without this feat, you can't deal damage with a whip to opponents with an armor bonus of +1 or higher or a natural armor bonus of +3 or higher.

Secondly, if you take the 9th level (dojo/church/etc.) feat, you can teach custom feats to any characters that meet the pre-requisite + any additional pre-requisites the teacher chooses to have.

I'd also like it if the 9th level feat CAME WITH a custom feat, and the trainer can craft additional custom feats at 12th, 15th, and 18th levels, if they have one in mind.

That's a very neat idea. It's like having schools, but customized specifically for the world based upon what characters wanted to study. I like it a lot. :D

Thoughts? Also, I don't think custom feats can come as bonus feats for any class (it would weight that class over the others, for instance if there were 30 bonus fighter feats to 10 wizard feats). Just going over thoughts in my head that is.

That's an okay idea. However, perhaps in conjunction with the 9th level guild feat, characters who apply to that guild can take a specific, 1st-level guild feat, that gives them access to the custom feats for that guild, and add them to the bonus feat lists for characters with the guild membership feat?

That is true. And hey, you'll be useful eventually. :p;)

If you feel that way, then perhaps have Velbrik decide not to come along? The advantage of this game is that there will always be another adventure, eventually, so you don't need to run off with the first group that gets a job. And there are many groups (or will be, anyway), so you don't have to go with one that doesn't fit your tastes.

If you don't want to come, I'm fine with that - like I said, we've got two divine casters, so it's not like we're completely in trouble if you decide not to come with. :)

Before I even remotely consider approving that feat, I want your characters name etched onto it, and I mean it.

Why can't I use MirC from the university? Oh yeah, that's right, some kids don't know how to keep themselves clean from a virus.

Do you mean like, 'this feat was created by Troi Delmontes'? Or in the name of the feat?

That sucks. :(

Stupid kids.

In the feats name, GW.

With the virus, it's quite funny. In order to remove it here on campus you have to connect to the network, but the network is so flooded with the virus that you can't download the patch without getting attacked at least 1 time.

Good thing I had another way of getting around it. Timing your own download between virus attacks seems a bit self-defeating.
