Ah, legality...

Wouldn't this possibly fall under Fair Use? IANAL, but from what I've read, so long as you credit the creator and aren't making profit, you're good.

Gosh, someone could post characters that they use in RL games, with, say all relevant info pertaining to them, you know...a Prestige Class or weapon, for example, so that all could marvel at their PC.

That would be Kosher...

"Look folks, this is Wango Trollsbane Master, Boomerang Thrower.
I will include Boomerang stats and the Master Thrower for reference."

I'll volunteer. For judgerry or judgedom. Or whatever its called.

And I am a volunteer on the character proposals, too.

CS: Count me in for game oversight and/or Guide to LEW (I'm not that good at spotting flaws in char creation).

I'm also going to finish putting together an adventure focusing on or around the encroaching empire that Uriel talked about, for higher-level characters who've been through one or two adventures.

Sounds like a plan. :D As long as everything's accesible to everyone, it's all good. I would reccomend, though, that things get approved individually by the judges, rather than a blanket "all WotC" or "everything in complete warrior" or what have you.

Okay, who else is sick of the "let's see if this works out. Gotta website?" tagline on LEW?

:raises hand:

So is this what we're going with, or are we still considering...?

Hrm... if anyone can come up with a few words to summarize LEW so I can replace Morrus tag line, i'll have one of the admins fix it for us. I just can't think of what to say off the top of my head...

"EN World's living play by post campaign, always open to new players and DMs."

No... that's too weak... but something that provides the info, and a hook.

GW, I'll go look at the thread results for a minute and see if I can get a general idea of what to do...

Hmm...

"Tired of linear campaigns, of having to deal with the same characters over and over? Want to experience a new world that grows every day, that your actions have a real effect on? Then join Living EN World, where you can do just that! Living EN World is a campaign modeled after Living Greyhawk, but with much fewer restrictions. Your character can adventure or go anywhere you like, with old companions or new, at any time you want! No more being limited to what your party wants to do or what your DM has planned out... Living EN World is as close to real-life as gaming can get."

How's that? It looks a little rough, but it's a start...

Not sure all of this is true, and it might be way too long. How 'bout something shorter, like:

ENWorld's persistent Play-by-Post campaign setting. Come join in the fun!

I think the problem with the one-liner, though, is that it's too vague... saying that it's a living game makes people think of Living Greyhawk - and from what I've heard, LEW is a little better than that.

So I think that some description, at least, is necessary... my description might go overboard a little ;), true, but I honestly think we need to do something like that to attract attention.
