To those in Haunted Halls of Stonepike: Telerin's player is pulling out of LEW.
I am fine with having him wander off or whatever, as he could easily just decide to explore the land around Stonepike instead of try and figure out what is killing the Dwarves. I would rather not NPC him in this one, so I am leaning towards having him wander off.
That leaves you all with NO spellcaster, however...
I am fine with someone else joining, providing they are a spell caster of some sort, since there is the option of them having answered the call for aid and being brought by another of the Dwarf Pony Express riders. Thoughts?

I'm fine with whatever you decide as GM as you're the one who knows how many PCs you can handle at a time. While an additional guy/gal might slow us down, I'd rather not be the only healer in the party... with the wand, anyway.

Also, something that I havn't discussed before but I've thought on quite a bit:

If our world is a continent, then we could have islands as well. This would actually fit pretty well with the questions about a method for altering the setting. If there are other, much smaller, worlds like our setting floating about in space, it makes it possible for these masses to interact with the continent. Sometimes they are hundreds of miles away, but you could theoretically teleport to them. Other times, they even touch down on the continents surface.

I think this is an interesting mechanic, not completely unlike planes of existence, and I like it. Maybe this is a worthy bit to think about?

I like it too but I am not sure if it meshes. What are these islands? Leftover parts of the universe that didn't make it into ENWorld? Why are they floating? The world is carried on the back of Enworphant yet these chunks of earth fly with no visible support.

Okay, I've turned it over in my head. How about this: at the center of these islands is <something>. Its probably something very Bad. Or not. The islands form like dust around these things and over the untold eons the dirt has collected and become stable. Most people don't know there is <something> sleeping/dead/unborn buried in there.
Hey, if you go with sleeping you could say that some (or all) of the people/animals/stuff on the island is really the dreams given substance of the <something> in the middle.

Ignatious O'Reilly, halfling Divinor 2 (almost 3) is currently returning to the Inn from Fallon, where he was stranded of late. He would be very happy to stumble across an adventure on the way home, if he's the sort of spellcaster you're looking for.

Availability dicey until next week or so.

I'll be moving house this week, and will have any kind of consistent net access shut down for quite awhile after, even. I will try to check this board regularly, but I can't guarantee that I will, so if any of the games I judge have need of me, email is best, and my profile email is up to date.

are we still sending adventure ideas to the judge account? I was thinking of throwing out a quick vingette to give a couple of the folks at the inn something to do in the short term (I'm having a brief surge of availability) but if it takes a few days to approve it might not be worth it. I'm also aware that more than one of the judges is on reduced availability right now.

I say go ahead on the little adventure. It seems that folks' schedules have been a little erratic lately, mine not the least among them.

BTW, Haunted halls updated for those in my game...

Hey, I've finished finals. Give me a day or two to settle in at home, maybe a little more than that, and I'll be back in full action.
