The retrieval of Fallon's Key

Creamsteak came to our rescue the first time and assigned XP after the DM disapeared. This happened on page 19. On page 20 (and several months later), the DM wanted to restart so we did. After his second disapearence, we eventually all left. I estimated XP on page 25, the last page. Upon further reflection, I think the wizard we defeated was probably 3rd level, as she only had two second level spells in her spell book. I had estimated somewhere between a 3rd level and 4th level opponent for her XP.

Anyway, Rogier and Iggy are still active. I don't know if anyone else is from this adventure, and it would be nice to finalize that chapter of their lives.

Can someone give me a run-down of what all has happened while I've been gone? Between emails, this thread, and the number of games going on (including those I'm judging), it might take a while to really re-acquaint myself.

BTW, my adventure, Island of Varras'zul, is in need of a judge. Any judges willing to spare the time to judge my wittle adventure?

I'd be happy to judge your adventure, Nimisgod. I haven't done that before.

As for what's been happening around here, I'd say 'not much.' Kahuna Burger dropped and we've been trying to tie up those adventures.

One of Kahuna Burger's adventure is wrapped up (A Merry Chase). Two of them are being continued after conferring with Kahuna (she can still be contacted), but need new judges. One (The Old-Fashioned Way) is hanging rigth now with neither DM nor judge.

We did not continue the approval of new material, but there are new adventures.

We've ended two other adventures, TH's Dealing with Hooligans, and Mithreander's Retrieval of Fallon's Key, though I think the players of the latter would like a second confirmation.

Also, I'm willing to judge whichever adventure still doesn't have a judge. Just tell me what needs judging and I'll do it.

Judges seem to be needed for...

Bastards of Bluerun, taken over by me, though it's pretty much close to the end.
Pest Removal, also taken over by me.
The Old-Fashioned Way, and it also needs a GM, or some kind of wrap-up.

I'm not sure if Goblin Ears II would have needed a seperate judge, but it's over now anyway.

I would have assumed the same judge as for the main thread -- it makes more sense to allot judges by adventures rather than threads. After all, when that adventure is finished, Irene (the character for whom the second thread was created) will get an XP award taking into account what happened in both threads.

Yes, Goblin Ears II would need the same judge. It was merely that the party separated. What does a judge do, anyway? I assume if the DM disapears, the judge would take over, and the judge would be on the lookout for in appropriate posting, I guess. But otherwise, does the judge have to sign off on XP assigned? Or what?

I'm glad to see how everyone's banding together here as a few games have fizzled. I'm making my first forays into PbP DMery and I admire what it takes to pick up a game that isn't yours and appreciate judges getting players out of stalled games and back to the Tavern expeditiously.

Thanks for your hard work Judge-type-folks. A special thanks to Knight Otu for what I consider herculean efforts to salvage games/get things straightened out.
