If you wanna do two weapon fighting, it's not a bad idea to take Two Weapon Defense. It's a +1 to AC and Reflex that stacks with your rhythm blade, and helps offset your lack of shield.

You know, two weapon defense was showing on the character sheet...not sure why it doesn't show in the summary?

Rhun-shouldn't Lucian's AC be 22 20?
10 + 2 level + 6 chain +1 magic armor +3 DEX +1 rhythm blade in off-hand

Forgot about the light armor limit to adding DEX/INT bonus

Again, I'm relying on you guys to catch this stuff. I was just going off what the character builder was telling me! LOL.

Yeah, it is showing up in the actual character sheet document. It doesn't look like AC is calculating properly, though.

Tempest Technique gives the Two Weapon Defense feat as a bonus feat (MP p. 7).

So, per the PHB, you DO add your DEX bonus when wearing light armor. So shouldn't that be an AC of 24? 10 + 2 level + 6 chain +1 magic armor +3 DEX +1 rhythm blade in off-hand +1 Two weapon defense. Is that correct?

Edit: I missed that chainmail is HEAVY armor. So AC should be 21 after all. But maybe it would be worth it to look into lighter armor to take advantage of my DEX bonus?

If it wasn't already so late, I'd get Manous advanced to the proper level. *Sigh* Alas, I fear it is not to be at the moment. Maybe I can get it done before this first fight is over?

Parrying dagger? What is that bonus exactly? Rhythm blade sounds like it's the name of a specific power.

Parrying dagger gives a +1 AC bonus, and rhythm blade does the same. So I would think that a Rhythm Blade Parrying Dagger would combine those effects...otherwise it wouldn't be worth it to buy.

The parrying dagger has the defensive property, which gives an untyped +1 bonus to AC (was this eratta'd?). The Rythm enhancement increases the shield bonus to AC and Reflex by 1 when wielding it in your off hand. But you DO need to take weapon proficiency (feat) for parrying dagger as it is a superior weapon.

Only if you want further specialize in hide and increase your dex bonus every level. If you don't, your AC will fall behind as you level.

Did you take Combat Agility or Combat Superiority? If the later, you will have no real advantage from a high dex, but easier access to feats. (And you should take the feat that let's you use Dex instead of Wis for Combat Superiority.)
