I agree. And I’m hopeful that season 4 will focus on Bo-Katan’s quest to reclaim Mandalore.

That said, it’s still not wholly clear if that is the case, though it does seem highly likely at this point.

The fact that season three and Book of Fett have the same release date is what makes this up in the air until they officially say which is which. There has been talk out there about a Fett prequel movie, then a prequel series, so Book of Fett may end up being a prequel movie for Disney+ that shows up what happened in his 5 missing years on Tatooine and how he saved Fennec.

Also, we need to remember that Esposito let slip we might see more of Gideon in season three. And since he is still alive and now a prisoner, that seems likely.

I have a feeling it won’t be a prequel but may refer to those missing years (or show them via flashbacks).

Alternatively it might overlap the post-credits scene - starting before and progressing up to and then beyond it, to show both how Fett survived the sarlacc and what he does after taking over Jabba’s palace.

That article is repeating the same falsehood that a lot of geek sub-news websites are repeating. There was no announcment of a S3 of Mando at the investor meeting. There was speak of the "Next Chapter" being December 2021, but it was in a vague context that didn't say if she meant Ahsoka/Rangers of the New Republic/Book of Boba Fett/Mando S3/something else. She said that these would all crossover with one another, so any one of them could be the "next chapter."
