Divine Challenge Question

Hello All,

This may be a simple question but I am having problems with the wording of the Divine Challenge text. If I challenge a mob, must I end my turn next to it or attack it? Is there any exception to this? The way I was reading it, it almost seemed to indicate if I mark another target it satisfies the "engage" clause. At best this is just poorly worded, but I wanted to make sure I was using it correctly.

Here's how I understand it to work:

  • On your turn, you pick a Divine Challenge target
  • On that same turn, you must either attack it or end next to it (or suffer the consequences)
  • On the next turn, your previous target is still subject to your Divine Challenge, so you must either attack it, end next to it, or use Divine Challenge on a different target.
  • If you use Divine Challenge on a different target, you must attack or end next to THAT target this turn
So, marking another target get around the "engage" clause - but you then must engage that new target.
