So I'm doing everyone's favorite thing -- statting a deity -- using everyone's favorite book -- Deities and Demigods -- and I have a question:

How does one determine the deity's basic stats? Do I just build a basic PC of the race I want and then ad ability increases based upon HD? Or am I missing something in the process that provides a formula?

This archived thread claims (via Sage) they use a default array of 35, 28, 25, 24, 24, 24:

If I recall correctly (from prior threads on this subject - both here and elsewhere) that array was only truly used for the Egyptian pantheon. The other two were more or less made up on a deity by deity basis (often resulting in higher stats than can be accounted for with the suggested array). I'd have to dig out my DDG book to see if this is correct or not, however.
