No. I've been thinking recently about getting rid of my 3.5 DMG and possibly keeping my 3.0 DMG, so the 3.5 DMG 2 probably won't do much for me.

I will get one for a friend and then flip through it to see if I want a copy for myself. It sounds like it will be more useful and interesting to read than the original DMG (which I only use for the NPC classes and sometimes magic items), but I just don't need any more rules for d20. If it covers topics not covered before, then those extra rules will be helpful. But if it just adds another layer of complexity to things already covered, forget it. I haven't looked at the table of contents for the DMG II yet, but I hope it has more information about gems, taxation, weather, etc.

Just went to WoTC's site and looked over the 3 exerpts.

Not impressive.

However, I'll still look the whole book over before a final decision.

FYI, I got my copy last night. A quick browse thorugh and I'm impressed. It's a mish-mash of stuff, but in a good way, just like the original DMG. Art is good, it uses the new stat block layout... Seems a decent book so far.
