[DnD 3.0] Need to create Ash from Evil Dead

daemonslye

First Post
I am getting ready to play in a 3.0E D&D game -
where the world is taken over by undead.

Here is the character concept:

"Ash was once a happy, (almost) normal guy who had a good job at S-Mart (Housewares) and a pretty girlfriend. But all that changed when he and his girlfriend decided to visit a cabin in the woods, a cabin where an archaeologist was studying his latest find - the Necronomicon! This ancient Book of the Dead soon released an evil force, a force that killed his girlfriend and possessed Ash's hand, making it 'go bad.' Driven slightly over the edge, Ash cut off his hand and successfully banished the creature. In the process, Ash was sucked through a Rift to this world and needs to find his way home!"

Here are the starting requirements: Level 12; Can use any
books within reason - but I don't own d20 modern. I have
reviewed the "scattergun" (shotgun) etc. out of the D&D
books and wanted those here to give me pointers on:

- Chainsaw
- Metal-spring hand
- Class and abilities for "S-Mart Sales Specialist - Housewares"
- Skills on crafting certain items with...... "molecular structures and, uh...."

Thanks all.

The Evil Dead: Swallow This! game (http://michael.tresca.net/indexfreebies.html) is technically for d20 Modern but is very easy to adapt to a fantasy d20 game.

- Chainsaw

Check! It has chainsaw rules for three different types of chainsaws even!

- Metal-spring hand

Check! See the rules on prosthetics.

- Class and abilities for "S-Mart Sales Specialist - Housewares"

Check! Although most d20 games don't have professions like d20 modern, you can still use it as a guideline for what feats to pick (or skills to get a bonus to).

- Skills on crafting certain items with...... "molecular structures and, uh...."

Check! That's what we like to call Duct-Tape Engineering.

Let me know if you have any questions!
