DnD 3.5 - Valley of the Dead

Yes, I find the mental image of having the tiefling bull rush the elven Incantatrix interesting and funny, as well.

I had Lórquelië fall purely for fluff reasons: She's very frail, and if somebody pushed into her with force, she'd likely fall down, especially if it came as a surprise to her.

I like how the fight turned out. We saved spell resources, took relatively little damage and formed a good defense (even if it meant bull-rushing allies :)).

FYI guys one can only ready a standard action. I was reminded of this rule by our good Malachei. Most everyone here is running or has ran a game in the past, so if you see rule discrepancies, feel free to point them out. I'm a little rusty on my DnD after all.

Now, time to roleplay guys. A little get-to-know one another with a side of "what in the nine hells is going on around here" is suggested but not mandatory.

I want you to think about something. What would be the ultimate goal for your character? When would he/she be content? Godhood? Epic levels? Just having a good life and be remembered? Having wealth, a good family or being renown for something? You don't have to answer here, but it's something to mull over.

This campaign started at level 8 mainly for met to get the ropes of DMing (which I believe I did, bar the post rate :D). The story and the nature of the phenomenon, these things have been developed quite far so you have a lot of room ahead of you.

Is there anything magical in the house (mirror?), near the house?

Lórquelië's goal will be to not fade into darkness. She will want to reclaim her "elfhood" (i.e. humanity for humans), and eventually be able to heal. The biggest step for her will be to accept the feeling of loss, and thereby be able to feel love again. For her, this will be an emotional journey, during which she will have to become able to have empathy again, something which she blocks or is blocked from currently, due to the scars inside.

Mechanically, she will want to become a powerful guarding of life, possibly epic.

Hmmm, end game goals? I and he have many yet few, know that here I be for the long hall, and that more will be unveiled during the RP :3
Things feel more natural when you don't see them coming from far away.

There is nothing magical in the house. FYI I'll update Geryk's knowledge roll for the amulet and tell you there is noting magical there. It's up to the group to decide what to do now. The main army is still several hours behind. Do you wait for Zinerath to dig the graves and bury the family. Does anyone help?
