Do alignment domain bonuses stack?

The domains in question have a couple very good spells in them, which is not saying much if you browse through the other domains. But domain ability itself is still very weak.

I'd say they stack. The diminished multiplier argument doesn't apply, since this bonus is added, not a multiplier. And it is an unnamed bonus.

I'd say it is most useful at low-levels (3rds at 1st level is sweet!). At high-levels I doubt the critter will be around long enough for the duration of the spell to matter much, or else the fight will be over too soon for the duration of the spell to matter much.

Agree with the ones who say the two +1 caster level stack, and applies to ALL spells with that type.

The cleric in question casts LE spells at CL 7 (the only spells I know both Lawful and Evil are Summon Monster X when used to summon a LE creature), other L spells at CL 6, other E spells at CL 6, and everything else at CL 5.

so do these domain powers then give him the next level of spells on his list? ;)

does this now 7th lvl caster get to cast 4th lvl Lawful and Evil spells?

or are the effects only for duration and such. not spells per day and so forth?

It just says "Cast spells at +1 level", not "gain +1 caster level", so I would say it only affects the duration, etc., of the evil, lawful, or "both lawful and evil" spells a 5th level cleric gets, and does not grant him 4th level "both lawful and evil" spells a la 7th level caster. In that, I would make it similar to the Healing domain. A 2nd level cleric with the healing domain would use a cure light wounds to cure 1d8+3 damage (as a 3rd level caster), but does not gain access to cure moderate wounds until the cleric gains another level.

Giving extra caster levels but only for certain spells would be way too complicated, anyhow.

Errrr? There is confusion on this issue?? Huh.

Caster LevelA spell’s power often depends on its caster level, which for most spellcasting characters is equal to your class level in the class you’re using to cast the spell.

...(snip)...

In the event that a class feature, domain granted power, or other special ability provides an adjustment to your caster level, that adjustment applies not only to effects based on caster level (such as range, duration, and damage dealt) but also to your caster level check to overcome your target’s spell resistance and to the caster level used in dispel checks (both the dispel check and the DC of the check).
You'll note spells per day and spells known are not on that list. Your caster level doesn't necessarily control that. That would be your class level.
