Do Bardic Knowledge and Loremaster Lore stack?

The description for the Loremaster's Lore says:

"Lore
At 2nd level, a loremaster gains the ability to know legends or information regarding various topics, just as a bard can with bardic knowledge. The loremaster adds her level and her Intelligence modifier to the lore check, which functions otherwise exactly like a bardic knowledge check."

Are there any rulings or errata that says whether these stack if you had levels of Loremaster and Bard? And are there any rulings or errata to say if feats that work for Bardic Knowledge also work for Loremaster Lore? Thanks for the help!!

I think, from a strictly RAW point of view, they don't stack. So a bard with Loremaster levels would be able to make two checks for interesting knowledge concerning any given situation.

However, I don't think it would be game breaking at all to simply say that if the Loremaster has bard levels (or another class that grants the same ability) they stack. That's what I have done in my games..

Now, someone with a little more smarts when it comes to dice rolling results might be able to tell you which is better: one roll with a high modifier, or two rolls with a not so high modifier..

There is a not so old thread that mentions the two not stacking, but as to where? :o

Theme wise they should stack (IMHO) but as to RAW what you have written temps me to think "No"

That's what I was thinking too, RAW they wouldn't be interchangeable or stack but theme-wise they could stack and be interchangeable without being overpowered.

I definitely agree - even if RAW doesn't support it, it makes total thematic sense (to me, anyway) to let them stack, and they will in any game I run. :)
