Woah. This PC is gonna rock
The old "bone horn" from Song & Silence also improved the bard's inspire courage ability by +1/+1 at the expense of the save bonuses.
Might want to ask your GM about that as well.
That should, in theory, bump it up to +4/+4.
But "even" +3/+3 is major gnarly.
What I tell my 2-handed power attacking friends is to convert all the to hit bonuses into damage, so +3/+3 = +0 to hit, +9 damage (via power attack). Per strike. Really adds up fast.
That's a very significant improvement to damage at no loss of "to hit!"
By the way, each +1 to hit bonus you give members of the party that do ranged/melee combat means, on average, roughly +2 additional points of damage per round (due to attacks that hit that would not have hit before).
Essentially, +3/+3 is increasing your party's damage output (on average, average weapons and strength and etc.) by about 9 per attack per round.
At the end of the day, your bard will doubtlessly be responsible for more damage being dealt than anyone else, hands down. Granted, you won't be inflicting all that damage, but still --
it's a game of teamwork!
Go bards!
