Do you care if it is a premade adventure?

I agree that customizing is important. If you have a good set of roleplayers that have characters they want to keep for the long haul, they are going to have goals in mind for them. It makes the "story" better if things are going on that relate to your characters and their goals. There is nothing wrong with running a module, just don't think you need to stick to it. Maybe use a few ideas from it or just stick in side quests that relate to your PC's. Depends on how good your imagination is too and if you can weave a good plot. However, this is something you will only improve upon by doing it. *I wonder if anything that I wrote makes sense*
