Do you dream of D&D?

I do. Not just D&D though. I have had dreams about Exalted and Mage: the Ascension. I have also dreamed of video games such as Quake 2 and Planetside.

I should clarify one thing. What I mean when I say 'dreams about' I don't mean I dream that I am my character in Forgotten Realms. I mean that I dream I am playing D&D.

Last night I dreamed that I was playing in a D&D game set in Middle Earth. The DM had pregenerated characters and I got to play Gandalf. He was an Epic level Wizard with all kinds of neat stuff. The plot didn't follow the book. We were hunting some sort of undead guy (I think it was a lich) though a dungeon. The BBEG ambushed us. Aragorn took a lot of damage and it was my init next. I looked at my very very large spell list and froze. Gandalf had something like five pages of spells, epic spells, scrolls, some wands, his staff and ring. There were so many options I didn't know what to do. I tried to go through them to find what would be the best thing to cast. After five minutes of this everyone was getting ticked off. The DM said I had to do something or lose my turn. I said, "Forget it. I hit him with Glamdring." Then I woke up.

So, am I the only one this happens to? Should I seek professional help?

I dream of a better world, a world made of my own creation, it is a fantasy world. Every now and then I will dream of a computer game I am playing.

If I spend a large amount of my time doing any one thing, I dream about it.
For instance if I have a longer DnD session, I will dream about the adventure.

Last night I spent a couple of hours playing Zelda Wind Waker. All night I drempt about the video game.

I can do my job with my brain asleep, so I tend to ponder our D&D campaign to keep it occupied. If I focus on it hard through the day, I will sometimes dream about it that night.

Of course, when I worked encoding for a bank, I used to dream I was encoding at night. It would wake me up when I couldn't make deposits balance in my dream.

Also dream of flying off to Vegas marring Brittney Spears having a wild and crazy honeymoon and having it annulled - poof!

Yeah, but more often than not I have trouble sleeping cause of D&D… If I’m in the middle of making a PC I tend to be obsessive and can’t sleep till its done… :shurgs: But it really happens with anything I have to think and contemplate on.

As for dreams, back in the day when I use to work so like 10 years ago, at a grocery store I use to dream of bagging grocery…

A few days ago I dreamed I was directing a full party in a fight. Interestingly it was 2e and I was constantly cursing the complications this brought.

I had a dream once, that my FLGS had grown to quadruple size. I'm usually very dissapointed by waking up.
