Do you like "John Doe?"

I'm asking this as a shameless plug. :D

If anyone here is interested at all in the FOX TV series "John Doe," I heartily, pleadingly, and imploringly invite you over to www.scoopme.com to discuss it. Every week that a new episode airs, I post a review concerning coverage of the week's episode events, points to ponder, and new information concerning the Phoenix Organization, John's self-discovery journey, Digger's new Insta-skill of the week, and so on...

So if you have an interest at all, please stop by Scoopme! and drop me a line on the message boards, or at least give the review a read.

Thanks, all!

I am a big fan and think the show is wonderfully written and has a very strong cast. People forget what a good cast can do for a show.

I do have concerns about it just becoming a police show but as long as it remains interesting that should not matter.

It is a ood show, and Henry does do good reviews of them (or atleast the ones of his I've read). I missed this week's show though. So, no talking about an episode I missed.

It's a surprise hit, IMHO. I thought I was going to just watch Firefly on Friday night, but I decided to keep the channel on FOX to see if John Doe is any good. The show impressed me.

Of course, I got angry at the show's producer for axing Doe's young assistant, but I praise them for making Digger's character a little more interesting.

REG - that's the way I got interested, too. I was geared for firefly, and now JD's the only thing left on that night.

The show has interested me, for the attempt at good series TV, but the quality of the writers in truth varies widely. Just when they get a good concept going (Phoenix, Trenchcoat, Karen's death), they cut away to something else totally different. We get flashes of brilliance - the scene in the first half of the season where he actively tries to overload himself, just to get a moment of NOT KNOWING something, was really innovative. I can imagine it MIGHT get frustrating to have all the info in the world at your fingertips, coursing through your brain, enough to need one moment's peace. :)

A while back , I said that they need to either bring John's love interest Rachel in as a regular, or just dump her completely. I got my wish, at least. :) They really never did anything with her.

This week's cyber-ho Paulette Chambers was an interesting character. I hope we see her again, because somebody doesn't go from Catholic School honor student and Computer Grad - to online sex-seller - and stay uninteresting.

This week's episode according to the previews includes a Jack the Ripper copycat, and John losing his "gift" temporarily. What would be cool was if they turned it into a two parter, and kept him without his gift for a little while, while he works to get it back.
