Alright, I want to see this poll. Do you use miniatures for your D&D game (regardless of edition)?

For my part, I occasionally use counters and basic maps but not miniatures. I find that having a grid makes it easier for some things (3.5).

I rarely use miniatures in gaming. Don't play much D&D, but I do the battle wheel thing in Exalted, and have used counters before in a large battle in Buffy.

D&D minis + reaper (for PCs or awesome NPC's), battlemats, dungeon tiles, flip maps, etc.. for my combats. Did so in 2e (well, without all the goods that exist now), 3e, and now 4e.

I have used them since AD&D 1E. Used them for GURPS for a while too. I have over 300 DDM minis, and in my group, I'm the "casual" mini user. lol.

Our group has combined over 10,000 minis so yes, we pretty much use them for everything. In 4E combined with a battlemap, we also use dungeon tiles, model terrain, laminated power, ritual and item cards, special condition tokens with custom built stands, and physical fantasy coinage... and a character sheet. We love us our accessories when we game. In 3e we do roughly the same but without the condition tokens and spell cards instead of powers.

Prior to D&D 3x I never used minis with D&D, nor did I use them with most other fantasy games that I played (e.g., Rolemaster, Legendary Lives, etc). The only exception I can think of is The Fantasy Trip.
