I was just curious if any of your players have named their group of adventures at all. I was lurking through the art boards and came across a discussion of super-hero team names and it made me think of my group of players.

They are going through the underdark right now (Night Below Campaign) and a while back (2 years real time) they decided to name their group (and it was a spur of the moment thing). There is a bard in the group who happens to be the spokes person (obviously). well they got to the point in the campaign where they come across large iron doors a little ways into The Underdark. Behind these doors are a group of orcs. The bard knocks on the door (since they were locked) and the Orc says, "Who is it and whaddaya want?" and the bard said(without thinking) "We are THE OVERWORLD TRAVELLING BAND!"

...well that brings us to present day. Whenever the group gets the chance to tell a group of enemies or allies who they are, they do. They came across a giant farther down in the Underdark and befriended him. They told the giant he can join the band and be the drummer, as long as he drums on the heads of enemies!

So, has your group ever gave their team a nickname?

I've DMed for, and played in, such varied groups as the Six from Sharn, the Freelance Police, the Mysterions, the Thanateers, Sigil's Most Wanted and the Adventure Capitalists. It seems to be a ritual of passage, the scene where the adventurers give their group a name.

Demiurge out.

I have been part of the Zoo Crew, the Gryphon Companies, S*N*A*F*U, the Lost Boys, the Travellers, and the Companions of the Rising Sun, to name a few. I think there's more, but those are the ones that stand out.

WEll, that was us, but someone killed them all off......

I've heard of you guys. RBDM with loaded dice killed you off, right?

I haven't named my new group yet, but I was thinking the Sober Dorfs. What do you think Croth?

I always recommend to my groups that they come up with a name, but that usually occurs slowly and with lots of disagreement.

I've hinted in game for a year that they should adopt a name but they have yet to. They once kidnapped another mercenary group and stole their identires. They began believing they were the real "Warrior Witchhunters" for a while. Then once the gig was up they dropped he name. It would be easier when writing if the group had a name.
