Heh, of course! It'd be kind of goofy otherwise, really.. I chose that as my community supporter thingie back in... uh.. whenever Morrus started the community supporter stuff.
It looks like an attempt to do a 1E Monster Manual II monster race job with the wacky gear, which was a good idea in theory, perhaps execution was a bit flawed (their goofy-looking depiction in the artwork, continuation of 3E designer fascination with lame-o sonic attacks and lack of flight didn't do much for their appeal, IMO).
I'm glad Thundershot appreciates the desmodu for I don't. They are pretty pointless in my opinion. It's sad to see how they waste space in full color hardbounds. The next time I stumble upon a desmodu in a printed product I'll think to myself: "-Sure I don't like these guys but someone at EN-boards love 'em!"
Personally, I thought that while the melodrama was a bit excessive at times, Jeremy Irons did a GREAT job playing Desmodu. It's just a pity about the blue lipstick.

Another quarter heard from and you are not alone Simplicity. I too was underwhelmed to say the least when I first saw them in Deep Horizon. While they are Bat-like they are also humanoid in shape. It may just be me, but I think there are already more than enough humanoid races running around in a standard D&D setting.
