You forgot an option for "I like polls/I like clicking things/I have no opinion but can't help but participate due to an obsessive need to belong".

When taken completely out of context, your words completely support my point.

I have ignored the past four pages of comments to point out that nobody replied to my point with any substance (however, since I pointed out that I ignored the past four pages of comments, it's okay if someone points out that they did, because I posted a disclaimer!)

Further, I would like to continue to make a point which was shown false in numerous threads which I have continuously failed to respond to, and point out that nobody has convinced me that this is not the case. I will not be reading any replies to this post, so I may continue to use this brilliant debate strategy in every thread I see.

Finally, I am going to imply that one or more posters play D&D wrong, and observe that my group never had the aforementioned problem, but I'll imply it subtly, by suggesting that maybe their ignorance is at fault. My group never (or possibly always, depending on the point I'm trying to make) did things that way, which proves that this particular method of gameplay is the best and should be the new gameplay model for 4e.

Finally (because I am typing too furiously, pounding away on the keyboard to properly convey my righteous fury to notice that I already prefaced a paragraph with the word "finally"), I will remind everyone that there aren't any players who I ever met who complained about a particular point, and it's a simple fact that my anecdotal evidence about gamer demographics is more valid than your anecdotal evidence about gamer demographics. Therefore, I am going to slyly accuse people who disagree with me of being hostile and / or abusive and / or devourers of puppies.

Insert generic reference to D&D becoming too anime / videogamey, neither of which I have enough experience with to actually make a valid point about, but since they're only code-words that everyone else knows mean "bad" (which I can deny all day long if anyone calls me on it by saying "They're just not my style" and then adding "D&D's style should mirror the one I like best"), they get my point across nicely.

Then I'll post a disarming "IMHO" just to make sure that if anyone does refute my arguments, it was all just an opinion anyway, and opinions can't be wrong, since it's a matter of taste.

I am intrigued and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. However, your favorite aspect of older editions sucks. I don't know about your opinion, but mine is shared by the vast majority of gamers and I for one will be putting my money where my mouth is. Anyone who doesn't subscribe to this widely held (and strongly held) viewpoint is living in a dreamworld. My opinion is that having a strong opinion about something unreleased is an exercise of futility. I feel strongly about this, of course.
