Does Anyone Care? (Cosmere RPG)

Already with stprmloght, people are running campaigns outside the suggested canon eras and areas.
Makes sense....book 5 definitely suggests a lot of historically relevant eras. The long time period between the Final Desolation and the Recreance, just as one example, could fit in lots of campaign ideas.

And it's vague enough to leave room for creative play.

It will be interesting to see where they go next, apparently they are looking at Warbreaker or Elantris, or even a Worldhooper book are on the line. It is going to get interesting.

Brotherwise and Drafonsteel have put together a formal axtual play one-shot with a bunch of actors types, "Echoes of the Gatjer". Haven't had the opportunity to check it out, but here it is:

In this short talking about the background to the genesis of the Cosmere RPG, Johnny O'Neal drops a hint that the Plotweaver generic RPG will have guidelines for generating characters using the Call to Adventure board game, similar to the current guidelines for Stormligjt or using Call to Adventhre to generate a 5E character.

So, this weekend is Dragonsteel Nexua, the Cosmere convention in Salt Lake City, and they will be having a number of panels about forthcoming products. They will also have an epic shared 400 player adventure in Organized Play set in the Rosharan Brone Age, which they have now said will also be turned into a product for regular table play:

"epic 400-player game will feature an all new Stormlight adventure set a thousand years in the past: Heroes of the Lost Desolation"

So Brotherwise had their big panel about Cosmere games today, I heard some tidbits via Reddit but will share more here when they do an official recap and the images are available.

One thing they did mention was that Plotweaver is chugging along as an open source version of fhe game and they remain committed to it as somwthing for third parties to work with moving forward, with announcements to come next year. Me timed they may do a Boss Monster themed version of the game, which would fit old school D&D i0s style vibes.

Meanwhile, they updated the Plotweaver website with the following text and images:

"Plotweaver™ is a new RPG system and setting from Brotherwise Games, the team that brought you the record-breaking Cosmere® RPG. Plotweaver invites players to explore the Tapestry, a universe where every story is true. Characters might focus on the tale of a single world, or travel the threads of reality to explore endless worlds of sci-fi, fantasy, and more."

"Explore New Worlds"

"Plotweaver will launch with three core settings—iconic locations where new stories come to life."

"Where do you want to go?"
