Does Anyone Care? (Cosmere RPG)

ICV2 is Kickstarter and hobby stores. Cosmere's Kickstarter wasn't part of Fall 2025.

Hobby stores were. Cosmere outsold the things that you suggest matter to hobby spaces, in hobby spaces.

This suggests that you are out of touch, not the "populist cash grab" that's actually selling in hobby spaces
Also distributors. Which I'm finding out was, and probably is still, a big part of their numbers.

It's just this seems rather out there, so I can accept this but I'll keep the salt that is kept for ICV2 numbers, and look for corroboration from other information sources.

Historically, other than D&D, stuff rises and fall on these lists fairly dramatically at any rate.

Can you point us at a place outside of the Cosmere fandom that the game is buzzing? I pointed at a very large TTRPG group finding community (in a top 10 metro size in the US) in that has expressed (0) interest in it. The same community has people trying to find groups for a wide variety of both large and smaller games throughout the year. r/LFG, a huge group-finding subreddit (and where I've formed most of my current groups through playing all sorts of games), has a handful of folks looking for more for the game over the last half year.
This is very "tennis players don't think pickleball is being played" as it has a 300% growth rate coded

I do believe thst particular looking for game group does not have much buzz going around the Cosmere RPG. Sounds like it doesn't have much for Vampire the Masquerade, either, but that is still a top ten seller in the retail charts nevertheless.

Honestly, cashgrab is pretty far from an accurate description. Much easier ways to make money out there, considering the amount of work and care they put into this.
I agree with this. I don't read Sanderson but this game comes across to me as a labour of love. And maybe not a lot of reviews, but very positive ones, and not from gushy Sanderson fans.

It was a huge KS. And even if it came mostly from Sanderson fans who've never played a RPG before, this could very well be their entry point. That's cool.

I'm pretty curious about their plans for a generic version of the rules because it looks like a fun system.
