Does anyone else hate having their photo taken?

I also hate having my picture taken, because I might have to see the pic later! But I also hate looking in mirrors. I always see some bald old fat guy pretending to be me! That's why, instead of a photo, I chose an icon of a D&D character who is a heroic ummm bald old fat guy... umm, never mind.

I didn't want to say anything, but if you think back you'll realize I tried to never make eye contact with you on Gameday.

I dislike having my picture taken. I also dislike taking pictures of people. I like landscapes and animals much more for my subject matter. There's nothing worse than trying to take a picture of a sight worth seeing only to have it spoiled by people wandering around (the people who obliviously walk real close to the front of the camera REALLY bug me).

You're definitely not alone, Eternalknight. I know a couple of people who so intensely dislike having their photo taken that one of them will hide, and the other threatened to smash someone's camera. That's going a bit too far, in my opinion.

Oddly, although I spent two years in grad school doing self-portraits as my focus, I hate having my picture taken, too! My fiancee always complains that I make silly faces when he photographs me. I guess it's because I feel silly being photographed.

I don't mind one way or another. For me, I know how I look, and I'm not exactly Brad Pitt in looks or physique, and the photo reminds me of this; on the other hand, it's how I look, and people don't run away in fear or react negatively, so I figure there's no harm in the taking. If I look that way all day long and no one minds, why should I mind?

I don't mind having my picture taken. Not a camera hog, but not shy about it either.

Video is another matter entirely. I truly despise being videotaped. We banned all video from our wedding - groomsmen were under orders to confiscate any video cameras until after we departed.

I hate having my picture taken; I try to avoid it at all costs. I'm reasonably happy with my self-image, but I haven't taken a picture in years that looked as decent to me as I would just glancing in a mirror or something.
