Does anyone have opinions on Traps and Treachery II?

I really like it. I think it's definitely on par with the first one (I killed the party rogue twice with that one). The art is the same, very well done, you get the whole idea of how the traps work. A lot of new poisons are in this book too.

For better or worse, most of it is a monster manual of traps. I liked the first one better with it's use of some thief PrCs, and role playing info for them. Still, I see why it's done this way as another hardcover is coming out ala Path of Shadow or something similiar I believe.

I was tempted to buy it on the spot when I saw the Kiss of Kali trap, but then I'm running a Kali temple death trap scenario this weekend. I did read from Will Upchirch that it contains just traps and poisons whereas the first one has traps, poisons, prestige classes and feats, but that there will be a new rogue sourcebook from them covering prcs, feats, etc. as JGK said.

Well, IMO...

Traps and Treachery II is red. VERY red.

Seriously, I love the T&T series... brings back fond memories of Grimtooth. Loved the poison section in this one.

A strong buy rating from me. Not as many illustrations as the first is my only complaint. Sometimes, you need them to understand the trap.
