Does Anyone here watch Alias?

I wish they would keep the Rambaldi thing in the season, but I guess this was more of a fluke as I heard that this season was meant to steer away from it. :(

Hmmm, I hadn't heard that but I've been staying away from spoilers for all shows I watch this season. It's worked out well so far. :)

I do hope that they still have it pop up from time to time.

Last episode rawked!

Rambaldi! Covenant (kinda)! Sark!!!

A CLIFFHANGER! Finally!!
Totally agree. That last episode was much closer to the older (old-skool?) episodes that I enjoyed much more. Without Rambaldi references, it loses so much IMO.

And as long as Sark is around, I'm watching.

Here's what I want:

- Rambaldi (What the heck did Sloan and Nadia find??)
- Cliffhangers and things that make you go "Holy Crap!" (Last episode was a cliffhanger but wasn't really intriguing)
- Irina (I want Sydney's mom back)
- Cool bad guys like Sloan and Sark. People you just loved to hate.

Things I don't want:

- That new "I'm so pretty" opening sequence
- The obligatory "You wanna talk *" and "Remember I don't trust you" speeches given to Sloan by Sydney in every episode
- The "We're in a bind and I have an idea how to get out of it" plan which involves her dressing like a prostitute. Ya, she's pretty but it still gets really old.

I would not be surprised if this is the last season. I TIVO it and we don't even watch it unless there's nothing else to watch. And that sucks because I've been watching since the first episode and used to impatiently wait for next Sunday. :(

Add me to the 'disappointed with season 4' crowd. A lot of the best stuff from the first three seasons was missing.

First season, you had the tension between Sydney's spy life and her mundane life, plus the situation with her father. The parts where Wil was slowly getting drawn into the conspiracy were great.

Second season of course had the new element of her mother and the awesome twist halfway through, which was completely unexpected.

It seems like a lot of people didn't like season three. It lost the whole 'double life' angle and focused only on the spy stuff, which was too bad - although they could hardly do otherwise with the events at the end of S2, since Sydney apparently only had two friends. But, it did have an interesting overarching plot (and Sark).

Season 4 has...nothing. There's been little to no character development, almost no overall plot, nothing outside the missions besides the occasional scene of Weiss (criminally underused) trying to hook up with Nadia. There's no tension anymore. Even Sloane seems to have lost what made him so interesting, and now he's just there to dispense mission briefings.

What happened to all the good writers? Did they go to Lost or something?

My wife and I were discussing this last week. We feel like the show is on a fast fade right now.

I don't know if there has been a massive change in the writing team or what has happened but it definitely doesn't have the interest for me that it used to.

One word: LOST
