Does being hit cancel invisibility?

I always thought if you were invisible and got damaged your invisibility would drop ... but on closer inspection of the spell, it doesn't mention it ... only if an invisible creature attacks. Is this how everyone plays it?

Being hit does not cancel invisibility. I suppose if you were severely injured (down to < 10 hit points or something similar), the blood trail you leave might make it easy to track you, though.

Unless you got hit with alchemists fire or something along those lines. Anything that would coat you or make your outline visible.

Yeah, it can be a really depressing when you are -1 HP, dying and your companions can't find your invisible carcass!

It would not be a problem if you were bleeding(externally). But if it was force or bludgeoning damage you are in trouble.

It was my understanding from the spell description that everything connected to you within 5 ft or so is invisible with you. So if you're holding a rope the first 5 ft are invisible and the rest can be seen. So I assume things like blood would still be invisible (unless they severed a major artery and it was spewing all over the place). Though Alchemist's fire would work simply b/c it would give off light.

Yep. If you bleed in a square, and you don't leave that square, nobody will see the blood.
