Yahoogroups is great for this. My gaming group has been using one since October 2000. File storage, calendar, email archiving--its awesome.

Ours is "threelakes", named after our campaign setting.

I used to have a website for my campaign but that went away with my earthlink account. Besides, I don’t think my players really used it much. I doubt they even realized that it’s gone. :(

As it looks like most people here will be saying "yes" or not posting, I'll represent what is likely the silent majority and say "no". My group does not have a website or messageboard used as a game tool (although I'm sure it is probably a very useful tool to those of you who do use them). I do have a website, which I use to make my campaign materials available to other DMs for their use and enjoyment, but so far have not used it as a tool within my own game.

Yep. I started a communal blog (everyone has author access) a few campaigns back, and we've used it ever since. Beats the hell out of playing phone/IM tag trying to find out when people are available to play.

It's not used for too much more than that, really, but that's not a problem. The occasional campaign intro or bit of ooc chat tends to slip in, but we have a seperate IRC channel for that when playing, so we tend to do that during the game.

All in all, having some sort of group website/forum/blog is disgustingly useful, even if just for keeping track of availability.

YahooGroups? yes. Web-based message board? no. Web-based campaign log? yes.

I've been brainstorming lately about using Blogger to create a blog wriiten from the characters' perspectives. That would give my players more creative room and make keeping a written campaign log easier. Has anyone used a party blog like this?

we use google groups to organize sessions and some between sessions stuff (creating magical items, finding leads...) and we also have a website (hosted on my site) with some campaign background, character sheets for the players and a log of the campaign

How many of you do this also? How many of you have a full-on website?

I have a full on website for each of my campaign settings (the fantasy one and the SF one), plus sites for the last events I ran at cons. There is a Yahoo! group for each of the settings, and one for a current campaign.
