Does your group have a website/messageboard?

Ours is just a Yahoo! group, but we use it a bunch. Two of the players in the group get ansy if more than a day goes by without anyone posting. We've used the message board and files section for arrainging the next session time and place, chatting about semi-related topics (minis mostly, two in the group are avid collectors and painters), and playing out events between sessions. The files section has maps, treasure lists, new spells, and alternate rules I'm allowing from Unearthed Arcana.

We get some good use out of ours.

We use a yahoo group. its great for scheduling and chatting about the game so everyone can ask any questions that pop into thier head whenever it happens and as a DM i can answer them. I also plan on posting a ton of backstory stuff on there. That way players can read anything they find interesting without me having to go into a big monologue and boring everyone else silly.

I find it helps players contribute to the game as well when they can just throw out any ideas that come up without having to slow down the game by making decisions mid session on things.

We are actually planning a small website where we will post logs of our past sessions as well as perhaps a little comic every now and then once something funny has happend.

The reason for this is that one of our long-time players has just moved from Switzerland to Australia for the next 2 years. So we decided to open a little space on the web so he can read what's going on in our little group and in the campaign. It will also be used to post pictures of recent events or stuff that he or we find worthy to share.

I've been involved with groups that use EZ boards as well as Yahoo groups.

Both tend to work well.
