Dorkiest Thing You've Ever Done in Gaming...

Thought it might be funny to all fly our dork flags high, and list a few things we've done in the past that make us cringe at the memory... :D

I remember once when a game I was running devolved into in-fighting and arguments, I had Tasslehoff roll up on the back of a gold dragon, (in a non dragonlance game) to tell the players (in a badly acted tasslehoff voice/ speech) that they better all shape up and start working together because thats what heroes do... blah blah blah...

I once was DMing a Justice Inc game. The egyptologist...passed away to a trap. The party then found some hieroglyphs they couldn't translate. Being the obliging GM, I had the NPC egyptologist pipe up with the meaning. Four players looked at me and said "The Egyptologist is dead, Bill!"

Those words still ring in my ears today. Or at least if one of those friends calls.

I signed up for a message board exclusively given over to D&D and whiled away my evenings reading post after post after post, instead of playing WoW like a normal person. Gah! I've wasted my life!

While running the Dragonlance adventure, DL2 - Dragons of Hope, I suddenly grabbed a fencing mask in a flash of inspiration in order to portray Verminaard the Dragon Highlord. The game ground to a halt as we got all the Darth Vader, "I am your father" jokes out of our system.

Later in the campaign the players suspected that Verminaard never really died, so every so often, while portraying a random NPC, I would grab the fencing mask once again and say something to the effect of: "I AM REALLY VERMINAARD!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

These are the dumb moments you remember forever.
