Downer - I just don't get it

Since KODT won´t return to Dragon (or even Dungeon):

Bring back Snarfquest, yay! Or Yamara.

(I have heard that Snarfquest came back in another magazine, is that right?)

I liked Downer at first, and I still kind of like the art, but the story is incomprehensible and pointless. I'm hoping it gets dropped. I'd love to see it replaced by Order of the Stick.

I like most strips of Mt Zogon; I think it started weakly and has gotten funnier.

I like a lil story in my cartoon stories, thank you very much. Downer doesn't do it.

Paizo appears to have an ear to the fans, let's hope they'll hear us.

I'm all for a return of Wormy- though I doubt whether Trampier (it was him, wasn't it?) is interested. Failing that, PC's suggestion is great- OotS is fantastic.

Downer, in my mind, is too overloaded graphically - and uses too dark colors (yes, it's set in the underdark, but still).

Storywise - there is one, but I have a hard time getting more than a tiny grasp of it.

Character-wise - I just can't seem to "bond" with any of the characters. None of them is really memorable, and they seem quite replacable. Sometimes I have a hard time to tell which of the two "main" drow actually is Downer.

Where do I sign to get OotS into Dungeon or Dragon?

It doesn't help that down in these parts, we already have our own Downer, Alexander, Foreign Minister for the Free People's Republic of Austria:

Bring back the classic black and white format (to save money) and please return to all amateur adventures. I don’t like paying so much for really weird adventures that wouldn’t be published by WotC/Hasbro.
You hit the nail right on the head. One huge reason I quit buying Dungeon was because a large number of the authors have been current/former WotC/Paizo employees. It seemed to me that Dungeon was just a way for the editorial staff and their friends to make a few extra bucks. (Well, that and I didn't like 99% of their adventures.)

I recently looked into Dungeon again. Seems we have the same situation for comics as we do with adventures in Dungeon. Downer is produced by SuperUnicorn, a company founded by Erik Mona. So I wouldn't hold your breath hoping for it to be dropped.

Yeah, Downer sucks. As does Mt. Zogon, which is even worse. Mt. Zogon, to be precise, is so bad it´s not even funny anymore.

Bring back Nodwick or give me Dork Tower.

It's all a matter of taste... I highly dislike Dork Tower and Nodwick and quite enjoy Mt. Zogon... perhaps it's the bloody-mindedness at times that tickles me. *laugh*

And I too vote for Order of the Stick!

Erik is extremely ethical. I have no doubt that if told that people want a change, he and Keith Strohm will consider changing comics. The only concern that I see is that Downer might have a 12 issue contract or something similar.

Personally I think that Downer's biggest flaw is the fact that it's trying to go so far with so little. I mean it LOOKS like an interesting story, but I get the feel that I've been dropped in the middle of it. (And yeah.. it is a very dark comic colors wise)

As for old comics I want to see come back, Wormy is definitely it.. but considering all I've read is that the creator dropped off the face of the earth and literally NO ONE seems to have clue 1 where to look for him I am sad to say you're not going to see anymore of them. (word is he vanished around the time he was supposed to be negotiating a compiled volume of Wormy.. so .. most likely none of that either)
