Cool episode. It yet again passed the "send my daughter running from the room in fear" test :D. I imagine the exagerrated American accents sounded as daft to actual Americans as fake British accents sound to us Brits in US TV and movies. Funny :).

Only some of them, which is fewer than usual for Doctor Who, it's true. :)

Not sure I like the human/dalek look. I'd have preferred something more Cthulhianesque like the tentacled beasty inside dalek Sec- though I'm a little surprised the Doctor wasn't immediately suspicious of the thingy they found in the sewer. It looked pretty much like the dalek from first season's Dalek to me. Another thing about it- if these are the last four daleks, then where did the thing in the sewer- which the Doctor specifically identified as being from Skaro- come from?

Also, the DW writing staff seem to have something about pigs. The slaves in this episode made me immediately think of the pig "alien" from the Slitheen episode of season one.

It was nice to see them get to a different locale, though, even if they are still largely Earthbound.

Probably that glowing mass of brain he found in the sewers was a Dalek in it's pre-larval form or somesuch, which accounts for him not recognizing it. As for it's origins, I'm guessing it was an experiment of the Daleks to artificially grow their kind that somehow went horribly wrong, hence why it was unceremoniously dumped in the gutter.

Well, the Doctor did say that the sewer-thing was artificial, so I'm guessing that it was the product of some kind of early genetic experiment carried out by the Daleks. Vat-grown flesh or something like that. Maybe they were trying to grow new Daleks from simple cells (like the Dalek Emperor did with humans on Satellite 5 in the first series). If so, I'm guessing that thy failed, leading them to their current project.

Funny, when the Dalek/human hybrid appeared, I immediately thought of Cthulhu! :D

I think the Doctor tends not to jump to conclusions. Just because the thing in the sewer had genetic material from Skaro didn't necessarily mean there were Daleks present. He'd wait for more concrete evidence. I think his frantic reaction when he realized where the thing came from is a pretty good sign he was darned worried, though.

I thought the American accents were pretty good, considering I've heard a lot worse. The guy playing Mr. Diagoras/the hybrid Sek isn't British, although he might be Canadian rather than American.

I'm really excited to see what they do next week in 'Evolution of the Daleks'. I hope the script poses a nice moral dilemma like they did way back in 'Genesis of the Daleks', or even in 'Dalek'. :)
