Dragon 333 has arrived!

This is an issue we tend to ebb and flow on. The next Bazaar of the Bizarre focuses more on items in the 10K range with some well below that point. We have a couple on the burner that focus on significantly cheaper items. In any case, thanks for the point, it is something we definately keep an eye on.

I love that feature -- I'd guess most readers do, cuz what's cooler for a PC than magic gear? -- and it just breaks my heart to see great items that are just too frickin expensive for me to use in my campaign. I'd love to see a "magic on the cheap" installment of Bazaar of the Bizarre, and it sounds like it's already in the works. I can deal.

Thanks for listening, Jason. It means a great deal to me that no less than three Dragon and Dungeon editors are over here reading what we have to say.

Krusty,

Well mate there's also Alzirus, Pale Night, Marbus, and Marduk.

Combine that with the others I think you'll have some very good stuff for Demonomicon.

There are only five classic demon nobles that were not covered by The Book of Vile Darkness:

Pazuzu, Fraz-Urb'luu, Zuggtmoy, Kostchtchie and Baphomet.

I assume by "classic" you mean being featured (with stats) in 1E? Because there were a lot more mentioned (though without stats) in 2E.

I suppose you could have 3.5 updates for: Demogorgon, Graz'zt, Juiblex, Orcus and Yeenoghu, all given the James Jacobs touch.

Hmm, sort of a "The Best of Dragon...for Demons" book. I'd buy that, especially since I think the current Best of Dragon Paizo is releasing will have Ed Greenwood's devil articles.

Hey Erik! :)

You can assume all of these will be covered eventually, some sooner than later.

Dragon & Dungeon

Never doubted you for a minute sir.

Dungeon & Dragon have never been this good!

Since Paizo (and your good self) took over I have been very impressed with the rise in quality. Keep up the good work.

Hey James! :)

There's not going to be a shortage of demons to write about any time soon. Page 35 of the 1st Edition Monster Manual II, for starters, is enough to keep pages filled in Dragon for years, needless to say of any new demon lords & princes that have popped up since then.

(Like Ugudenk! All hail Ugudenk!)

Just wanted to add a big personal thank you for the articles in question. Much appreciated, especially as a semi-regular feature. I love it. Great stuff.

You should know better than to blaspheme with talk of 2nd Edition; that truly was the dark ages for the dark powers. ;)

Hi Alzrius mate! :)

Yes.

As I noted earlier. ;)

For the love of all that is unholy, when you get 120+ pages of Demonicon printed, you MUST then reprint it as a hardback a year later. Then it'd be "Best. Supplement. Ever."

NO!

first, it must be combined with a 3.5 revision of the archfiends in BoVD - THEN it would be the best evar. ;)

here's a question - will the demonomicon be limited to just "lords" (i.e., epic level dudes), or will it feature any lesser demons with unique personalities, appearances, and powers?

The Demonomicon is just limited to the lords and princes and queens and other unique rulers of the Abyss. That said... you can expect new demons in each installment, like the Anzu or the Skurchur. Sometimes, these might end up being lesser unique demons like Kerzit.

And thanks for the kind words about the series, everyone! It's been fun to write the first two, and I'm about to start working on the 3rd any day now...
