Creature Catalog Four: Campaign Classics. From Greyhawk, we have the Animus Template, the Blindheim - tiny frog-men that worship Slaads - the Greyhawk Dragon, with a sample Young Adult stat block, the Suel Lich - an incorporeal undead that possess living bodies, and the xvart. From Ravenloft, we have the carrionette, the death's head tree, the goblyn, and the Maggot Golem. From Mystara, we have Dusanu, an undead-like plant, the Nagpa template, and the Phanaton, which seems to be the union of a raccoon and a flying monkey

Excellent! The Creature Catalog, back from pre-100 issues of Dragon, was almost like a mini-Fiend Folio back in the day. The Elder Wyrm, Gumori Armor (adamantine armor that was difficult to damage, but exploded when it was damaged) and other favorites were in that collection. I hope that we see a mix of the Dragon's Bestiary, as well as larger collections in more Creature Catalogs in the future.

They even keept with the original numbering!

Only thing of note there is Order Of The Stick - it's just a four-panel comic at the end of the Creature Catalog article. Last month's full-page comic was apparently a one time thing, although I hope it isn't.

It isn't. The 4-panel format was originally what was going to be used after the first one, but the positive response got Paizo to bump it up to a full page permanently. Unfortunately, the production cycle means that one 4-panel strip slipped through before the change was decided. Expect to see a full-page OOTS in #340.

Both the Nagpa and the Phanaton? Be still my Mystara-loving heart! Unfortunately I can't place either the Dusanu or the undead plant thing. The MML will probably revoke my membership card.

Sorry, I said that wrong. The Dusanu *is* the undead-like plant. It's a colony of sentient fungus that grows within humaniod corpses.

Also, the eidtorial mentions that Creature Catalog Five will be around in issue #343.

On an entirely unrelated tangent, I have never had so many people respond to a post I've made before. Also, glad to hear that about OOTS, sir.

The bolded item gives me the :D feeling!

Right, now I remember. Dusanu are those 'rot fiend' things (althought they aren't actually fiends at all) that first showed up in X4 Master of the Desert Nomads, or maybe X5 Temple of Death. Thanks.

I'm very happy with this, and I'lm curious to see how they approached the Communals and Expansionists, especially if they mention anything regarding Vartus Timlin. *grin*

There's some stuff about him. The intelligent sword, in particular, claims to be his infamous sword Lightbringer.
